For 50 years, Up Group has been working to make every day better. Up is different, free and independent, and gives daily proof of the strength of its democratic governance model that directly associates employees in their company's success. After having brought three French subsidiaries into the Up cooperative, its parent company, in 2016, the company is continuing its transformation. The objective: by 2018, bring all the subsidiaries, both in France and worldwide, into this cooperative momentum by deploying its foundational democratic principles that establish its identity and its uniqueness.
As per the Group’s Up 2018 strategy, the company’s development model is focused on five major markets. In each of these markets and in each of its 17 countries of operation, the Group is part of a proactive innovation process involving its employees and many external partners. In 2016, the Group’s momentum led to 28% revenue growth and to launching new solutions that improve the lives of its customers and beneficiaries.
To achieve its strategic 2018 challenge, UP group plans to develop a culture that is common to the whole Group based on the values that make it different. To speed up its transformation, the Group supports its employees as their professions evolve, helps them expand their skills and assists in the deployment of new working methods. True to its commitments, the Group values social dialogue, one of its historical markers, and places diversity and equal opportunity at the core of its human resources policy.

To better serve this requirement, the Group is now pushing a new momentum in its philanthropy policy, driven by its Foundation, in order to export its values beyond the borders of the company and fully express its social mission. The Group is also bringing its subsidiaries all over the world on board for a responsible purchasing effort, in line with its sustainable performance strategy.
In 2016, it developed and deployed various innovative tools to systematize and simplify environmental reporting. This empowers subsidiaries to contribute more proactively and responsibly to the fight against climate change, in accordance with the objectives of the strategic plan Up 2018.
